这两个词拼法相似,但所指不同:artist指的是“艺术家”,尤其指画家或雕刻家,也可指“能手”,指擅长某职业者; artiste主要指男女职业演员,尤其是歌唱家或舞蹈家。但在现代英语中artiste一词已经越来越多地被artist所代替。
